Professional
Land Surveyor

We are growing and seeking a highly motivated, experienced Professional Land Surveyor to join our team of innovative professionals. Individual must be committed and operate with a high level of integrity.

​

Typical PLS responsibilities include:

  • Direct or conduct various types of surveying including boundary, land divisions, topographic, ALTA/NSPS and construction stakeouts, etc.

  • Perform various survey calculations and sign and seal survey drawings

  • Interpret and verify the accuracy of survey data including measurements and calculations

  • Prepare or supervise preparation of all survey data, maps, records, and documents related to surveys

  • Search legal records, survey records, and land titles to obtain property information

  • Write descriptions of surveys for use in deeds or other legal documents

  • Manage, schedule and supervise daily responsibilities of the survey crew(s)

  • Prepare proposals and bid survey projects

  • Maintain excellent client relations

Position requirements:

  • Possess current Wisconsin Professional Land Surveyor license (or if out of state, be eligible to take WI exam)

  • 2 – 5 years experience as an PLS

  • Proficient in AutoCad / Carlson Survey

  • Excellent managerial and communication skills (written and oral)

Land Surveyor
Survey Crew Chief

Survey Crew Chief

Land Surveys Inc. is growing and looking for a qualified Survey Crew Chief.

​

Qualifications:

  • Proficient in construction staking, topographic surveys, boundary surveys and analysis, land divisions and writing legal descriptions

  • Work as a one man crew

  • Utilize survey equipment, robotic total station, and GPS/GNSS RTK

  • Use of AutoCAD/Carlson Survey

  • Able to work outside in all weather conditions

  • 5-10 years experience

  • Professional licence in WI or working toward

  • Self-motivated

  • Detail oriented and thorough

  • Professionalism

  • Ability to work independently or collaboratively

  • Mathematically inclined

  • Verbal and written communication skills

Other Requirements: Valid Driver’s License in good standing, demonstrating safe driving habits and capable of being insured by our company policy.
